Location: Rio Dance Studio
Pay: $25 / hour
Schedule: 6-10 hours per week [example schedule: wednesday 12-3, friday 12-3 plus events as needed]
Position Summary: Assist in managing the studio - main responsibilities will include event support, studio maintenance, customer communication, and managing our booking software. We are looking for someone who loves dance, loves small business operations [the delightful and the challenging!], and loves our community. Creativity, authenticity, and an eagerness to work hard will lead to success in this role.
This is not a teaching position, though taking this position would not exclude you from teaching.
Essential Job Functions:
MOMENCE: build events / classes / semesters, manage inbox, reporting and software management
STUDIO OPs: ownership of the space and general upkeep, weekly deep clean support, supplies and ordering, manage studio rentals
EVENTS: day-of execution, as needed
SEMESTERS: assist with scheduling, building and launching semesters, manage semester-specific communication
SOCIAL MEDIA: assist with social media content, ideas, drafts
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements:
Minimum of high school diploma or GED
Customer service experience [2+ years]
Preferred 2 years experience in small business operations
Bonus: experience in database management, facility management, or a dance-related industry
Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Must be able to work on your knees [cleaning] for an extended period of time, knee pads will be provided
This position can be very active and may require employees to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to support with event set-up including frequently lifting and transporting materials weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance
Qualifications:
Technology: Demonstrated proficiency and confidence with Mac operating systems, Google Drive apps, social media platforms, and Canva [design experience is great, but not required]
Organization; must be detail-oriented and able to follow through with tasks completely
Problem Solving; must remain calm and kind in stressful situations
Empathy; must have the emotional intelligence required to work with grace and compassion
Communication; must be able to articulate clearly and effectively with coworkers and customers alike
Self-managing; able to work with accuracy and integrity, with minimal supervision
